Headshots

makeup for actors

Your headshots are an investment, so make sure you look your best with a professional makeup application. Elizabeth Cantore recommends this service for both men and women. Photoshop is an amazing tool for correcting flaws on the skin, but it is not a substitute for a professional makeup application.

If you are shooting one look, Elizabeth recommends doing a natural look that is flattering to your distinct features. Often times, when you see pictures of stars “without makeup” in a magazine, they have actually spent an hour in the makeup artist’s chair. If you are shooting more than one look, Elizabeth can change the makeup to reflect whatever image you wish to portray with your headshots.

Elizabeth Cantore has attended numerous workshops with agents and casting directors to find out what makes a headshot stand out. Your headshot should reflect what you look like when you walk into an audition. A common complaint of casting directors is not being able to recognize an actor because she is wearing too much makeup in her headshot. Elizabeth will apply makeup to enhance your features and will make sure that you feel comfortable and look your very best.

Elizabeth Cantore works on location and will stay with you for the duration of your headshots, so you look as fresh for your last photo as your first. She includes airbrush makeup (if requested), lashes (if needed) and light hair grooming in your headshot makeup package.
